A powerful first for communication

On March the 10th 1876, pioneer of telecom history Alexander Graham Bell made his first short one sentence phone conversation. This was a powerful first for communication. Our community garden gathering in Perth on May the 19th and 20th, is also a first. Exciting in a different way but an opportunity to bring people together for a variety of connection activities, conversations and experiences. Wanting to know more? Stay tuned.

The WA Community Garden Network (WACGN) is an informal network of WA community gardens and their supporters. Established in 2004, the network has played a significant role in bringing together people involved in community gardens to share ideas and skills, work collaboratively and provide a voice for the community garden sector in WA.

The WA Community Garden Gathering 2018 Committee first met in May 2017 in North Perth. The Committee meets regularly (every 2 weeks) with three working groups; Planning, Engagement and Strategic Direction, busily working to bring to fruition an event with a difference. Our meetings often run late into the night as we discuss, debate and imagine this event together. We are excited and hope you will be too!
